Labor Cost – 25%
Suppose, the total construction cost – is Rs. 30lakh
So, Materials cost will be – 22.5 lakh (75%)
and, Labor cost will be – 7.5 lakh (25%)

4). Steel Reinforcement

Consider, the Maximum Rate – 70/-Kg

Approx Sand quantity – 3000Cft

(For brick walls, parapets & foundation)
Approx Bricks quantity – 32000Nos.

8). Structure Construction Labor Cost
Labor rate for construction Approx – Rs.250 to 280/-sqft
Total built-up area – 1500sqft
Consider, the maximum labor rate – Rs.280/- sqft
So, Total labor cost – 1500 x 280 = Rs.4,20,000/-
Total Civil Works Materials Cost – Excavation + Murrum + Cement + Steel + Sand + Aggregates + Bricks + Labor
= 25000 + 45000 + 287000 + 350000 + 180000 + 100000 + 320000 + 420000= Rs. 17,27000/-
Per Square Feet Cost – 17,27,000/1500 = Rs.1151.33 or Approx Rs.1150/-Sqft

Average market Rate Approx – Rs.40/-Sqft
Total Washroom tiles cost – 450 x 40 = Rs.18,000/-
(3). Kitchen Tiles
Tiles required in L – Shape kitchen Approx – 70Sqft
Average market Rate Approx – Rs.40/-Sqft
Total Kitchen tiles cost – 70 x 40 = Rs.2800/-
4). Elevation Tiles
Total area for elevation tiles – 200sqft
Elevation tile size – 1′ x 1.5′
Average market rate – Rs.70/-sqft

Total Tiles Quantity – Floor tiles qty. + Washroom tiles qty. + Kitchen tiles qty. + Elevation tiles qty.
Total tiles material Qty. – 800 + 450 + 70 + 200 = 1520Sqft.
Labor Rate – Rs.15 to 25/-Sqft.
Consider the Average market rate – Rs.20/-sqft
Total labor cost approx – 1520 x 20 = Rs.30,400/-
Total Cost (M+L) approx – 74,800 + 30,400 = Rs.105,200/-
6). Granite
Granite required for L-shaped kitchen – 75 feet
Average market Rate Approx – Rs.150/-Sqft
The total cost of granite for an L-shaped kitchen – 75 x 150 – Rs.11,250/
Labor Charges
Labor Rate – Rs.60 to 75/-Rft.
Consider, the maximum labor rate – Rs.75/- Rft
Total Labor Cost – 75 x 75 = Rs.5625/-
Total Granite Cost – 11250 (M) + 5625 (L) = Rs.16,875/-
7). Marble
Marble required in for (Porch + staircase) Approx – 675Sqft
Average market Rate Approx – Rs.80/-Sqft
Total Marble cost – 675 x 80 = Rs.54,000/-
8). White Wash
Thumb Rules,
5 times more than the total area
Total Area – 1500sqft x 5 = 7500sqft
Putty & POP labor rate approx – 5/-Sqft
So, Total labor cost – 7500 x 5 = Rs.37,500/-
Materials costs are also the same – Rs.37,500/-
Total Labor + Materials Cost – Rs.75,000/-
(At this rate contractor applies 2 coats of putty/Pop)
9). Wall Paint
According to thumb rules,
For 1500sqft Area…
Paint surface area – 3000Sqft
Paint labor rate approx – 7/-Sqft
So, Total Painter cost – 3000 x 7 = Rs.21,000/-
Paint materials cost approx – Rs.18 to 20/-sqft
Consider the maximum rate of paint 20/-sqft
Total Paint cost approx – 3000 x 20 =Rs.60,000/-
Total Cost of paint (M+L) = 60,000 + 21,000 = Rs.81,000/-
10). Plumbing
Materials Cost……..
Pvc Pipe cost for underground piping Approx – Rs.15,000/-
CPVC pipe costs approx – Rs.22,500/-
Cost of sanitary items – Rs.40,000/-
Total cost of plumbing materials – 15,000 + 22,500 + 40,000 = Rs.77,500/-
Labor cost for plumbing – Rs.20/-sqft
So, the total labor cost of plumbing for 1500sqft Approx – Rs.30,000/-
So, the Total Cost of plumbing ((M+L) – 77,500 + 30,000 = Rs.107,500/-
11). Electrical Works
Electrical materials Cost Approx – Rs.45,000/-
(Electrical pipe, conduits, boxes & wires, etc).
2nd cost for switches, lights, fans, MCB, led approx – Rs.65,000/-
Total materials cost for electrical works – 45,000 + 65,000 = Rs.110,000/-
Electrical works labor cost Approx – Rs.10 to 15/-sqft
Consider, the maximum labor rate – Rs.15/- sqft
